Registration Information

Early-bird registration is now open.

To begin the online registration process for the 2020 Highlights of ASH in Latin America meeting, please use your ASH username (your email address, unless you have changed it) and password. If you have forgotten your username and/or password, you may reset them by using the “Forgot Username or Password” links. If someone else is registering for the meeting on your behalf, please provide him/her with your log-in credentials to ensure your registration is processed quickly.

Registration Fee Information

Registration fees may be paid by credit card or check only. Wire transfers will not be accepted. To pay by check, please contact the ASH Registration Center. On-site registration fees may be paid by credit card only.

Your registration fee includes:

  • Access to all meeting sessions, panel discussions, networking breaks, exhibits, and lunches (Lunch with the Experts will also be offered on both days; these are ticketed sessions, free, and reserved (on site only) on a first-come, first-served basis)
  • Access to the Highlights of ASH mobile app (includes speakers’ slides and other meeting information)

1You must be a member at the time of registration to receive this rate. Applicants approved for membership after registering for the meeting will not be refunded the difference between the member and non-member rates.

3The allied health professional category is for individuals without a doctoral degree who provide direct patient care. Individuals with an MD, PhD, and/or PharmD degree do not qualify for this category because they are eligible for ASH membership. Meeting Policies

Copyright Policy

Materials contained in the ASH meeting presentations, including slides, audio, abstracts, and posters, are protected by copyright and may not be published or reproduced in any medium (including social media) without express written permission from ASH (or, in the case of the posters, from the author).

Meeting Cancellation Policy

ASH reserves the right to modify or cancel any or all activities associated with this meeting due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event that ASH must unexpectedly cancel this meeting, the full registration fee, less a processing charge, will be returned to each registrant.

Registration Cancellation Policy

Cancellations and substitutions must be submitted online by Monday, March 23, 2020. There will be a $75 fee for cancellations received on or before this date. No refunds will be granted after this date.

If you have extenuating circumstances that prevent you from attending, you are welcome to petition for an exception to this policy. To do so, please email the ASH Registration Center at ashhighlightsmed@spargoinc.com to explain your situation and include any documentation to support your case (documentation is optional but recommended). These petitions must be submitted by Friday, April 10, 2020, to be considered. The decision regarding your petition may take up to one month after the event.

All registration cancellations and refunds will be processed in the same manner as original payment: if paid by credit card the refund will be issued to the card on record, generally within five to seven business days of the request. Payments made by check will be refunded as a check within 45 days of the close of the meeting.

Special Registration Instructions

Non-Member in Training

After you complete the registration process, an email will automatically be sent to your program director or school counselor requesting a signed verification letter on official letterhead confirming that you are a trainee. This verification letter is required and should be uploaded in PDF format using the link provided in the email. Your registration will not be official until ASH confirms your training status. If you registered in the non-member-in-training category last year and are still enrolled in the same training program, you do not need to send a letter verifying your enrollment status.

Questions regarding verification can be sent to ashverification@spargoinc.com. Emailed or faxed verification will not be accepted.

The following individuals are eligible to register as non-members in training:

  • Undergraduate students
  • Graduate and medical students
    During the online registration process, you will need to provide:
    • Name of your university/institution
    • Name and contact information for your school counselor
    • Field of study
    • Program start date and expected date of graduation (month and year)
  • Medical residents
    During the online registration process, you will need to provide:
    • Name of the program in which you are enrolled
    • Program director's name and contact information
    • Length of the program (in years)
    • Program start date and expected completion date (month and year)
  • Post-doctoral fellows with an MD or PhD in a recognized hematology or oncology training program
    During the online registration process, you will need to provide:
    • Name of the program in which you are enrolled
    • Program director's name and contact information
    • Length of the program (in years)
    • Program start date (month and year)
    • Expected program completion date (month and year)

Allied Health Professional

The allied health professional category is for individuals without a doctoral degree who provide direct patient care.

Individuals with an MD, PhD, or PharmD degree do not qualify for this category because they are eligible for ASH membership. These individuals should register in the member or non-member category based upon their current membership status. All ASH members receive discounted rates at this meeting.

The following individuals are eligible to register as allied health professionals: nurse practitioners, registered nurses, physician assistants, clinical nurse specialists, and pharmacists without a PharmD. Others may also be eligible if they provide direct patient care as noted below.

In registering as an allied health professional, you agree to provide evidence prior to the meeting that you:

  • Devote 50 percent or more of your professional activity and time to the direct care and treatment of patients, and
  • Function as an integral member of a team caring for patients.

To verify status as an allied health professional, the registrant must provide a letter, on institutional letterhead, from his/her immediate supervisor confirming the following:

  • The name of the organization
  • The registrant's position
  • The percentage of activity and time devoted to the direct care and treatment of patients
  • A copy of a state license with expiration date thru the end of the conference

Verification confirming the registrant professional status is required and should be uploaded (in PDF format) prior to arrival on site. In order to be officially registered for the meeting, ASH must confirm the registrant’s status. Individuals who do not provide verification will be charged the non-member registration rate.
