CMS Releases Proposed Rule on 2006 Physician Fee Schedule

August 2, 2005 – CMS released the proposed rule for the 2006 Physician Fee Schedule.  The rule proposes a negative update of 4.3%, with more negative updates to follow in later years. ASH is currently analyzing the rule, which is expected to be published in the August 8, 2005 Federal Register.

ASH and other medical specialty societies remain very concerned with physician reimbursement.
