Special Educational Symposium: "Thrombosis in the Elderly"

This special symposium will involve a multi-perspective examination of recent science, current clinical practice, and areas of potential research on the critical issue of venous thromboembolism in the elderly. Speakers will include:

Special Session: "Venous Thrombosis: Patient, Public Health, and Scientific Perspectives"

ASH Practice Forum: Evidence, Safety, and Clinical Decision-Making: The Case of ESAs

The Practice Forum will feature presentations on the new Medicare ESA coverage policy, the status of federal legislation regarding ESAs, the revised ASH practice guidelines on their use, the impact of the new policy on practices, as well as a report about the ASH practice-related advocacy efforts throughout the year. Speakers include:
