Journal Business and Subscription Coordinator

ASH seeks a Journal Business and Subscription Coordinator to support the Journal Business and Content Licensing Manager in handling all non-member subscription fulfillment duties, as well as marketing strategies and content rights management for the society's journal, Blood.

Specific responsibilities include processing new and renewal subscription orders and maintaining the subscriber and online activation databases; tracking usage of Blood online; receiving phone calls and answering e-mails from members, subscribers, and subscription agents; generating and distributing renewal notices and letters to subscribers; and assisting in the development, implementation, and results tracking of marketing campaigns for the journal and related products.

This position requires a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience), a minimum of two years of administrative, data entry, and customer service experience, the ability to learn new software, excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to take initiative and work independently. Experience in subscription fulfillment and implementation of marketing plans is preferred.

Meetings

Meetings Assistant

ASH seeks a Meetings Assistant to provide administrative support to the Director of Meetings and the Meetings Department. Key responsibilities include filing; database management; coordinating in-house meetings with the Meetings Coordinator, including ordering food and beverage, making hotel reservations, reserving meeting rooms, and setting up audio and visual equipment as needed; providing information to constituents via mailings, telephone, and e-mail; responding to logistical questions regarding the annual meeting; and assisting with the production and compilation of materials related to the annual meeting.

The ideal candidate will have an associate's degree (or equivalent experience), one year of meeting planning experience, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, experience using a database, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
