The American Society of Hematology is in the initial stage of the selection process for the next Editor-in-Chief of Blood (term: 2013-2016).
Candidates with an MD, MD/PhD, PhD, or equivalent should have an appreciation for the broad and comprehensive knowledge of basic research and clinical investigation in hematology and its subspecialty areas, a distinguished research and publication record, high standing among peers, and demonstrated editing, writing, and reviewing skills.
All members of ASH are encouraged to submit a letter of intent if they are interested in the position or provide the name of a potential candidate. Nominations should be accompanied by a description of the candidate’s editorial experience and a short, informal endorsement. Nominations must be received on or before February 28, 2011.
