The ASH 2011 Clinical Practice Guideline on the Evaluation and Management of Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP) was published in Blood on April 21, 2011. This guideline is an evidence-based analysis of the diagnosis and management of idiopathic thrombocytopenia (ITP) developed by a panel of specialists sponsored by ASH.

This guideline was prepared by the American College of Chest Physicians and was published online in the journal Chest in February 2012. ASH is providing a link to this guideline as a service to our members. Please note, the executive summary (including the recommendations), the introduction and the methodology sections of the guideline are available for download free of charge. The other chapters are available for download if you have a subscription to Chest or through various pay for view options. After twelve months, all chapters will be available free of charge.
