Urge Congress to find a balanced approach to deficit reduction that does not involve further cuts to biomedical research
Published on: March 29, 2013
In its response to the NIH RFI "Research Needs to Facilitate Broad Community Use of the Roadmap Epigenomics Program Data Resource" (NOT-RM-13-011) submitted March 28, ASH indicated its support for efforts to broaden the use of the public data resource developed by the Roadmap Epigenomics Program. This crucial resource allows hematologists to further our understanding of the role epigenomics plays in the mechanism of hematopoietic development and in hematologic disease.
ASH encouraged the NIH to expand this resource to include recently identified epigenetic marks, additional tissue types with particular focus on primary specimens, and studies of diseases specifically important to the hematology community and to patients worldwide.
Support the mission of ASH and help move hematology forward.
